I’ve been looking for a new bag for quite some time. I didn’t care whatever its surname -tote, carryall, shopper or travel bag, but I wanted it to be big enough to carry all my stuff in it. For better or for worse, I don’t have a fixed workplace and, as I say, it has its pros -no routine- but cons as well. The worst? I take ‘my office’ with me wherever I go – laptop, journal, notebook and pens (old school working girl), hard drives, opticals,…
I appreciate the beauty of simple and timeless design and that has hampered me the search of my new carryall bag. Ahh! Going shopping with a specific idea in mind is so hard. Don’t ever think that I was looking for something complicated – just rigid structure, black leather and super simple design. But in life you never know and, believe it or not, my new carryall turns to be an electric blue and coral bag made in neoprene. Ha!
There’s something about Australian brands that could be compared with the French je ne sais quoi. State of Escape‘s minimal design and high quality materials have been my latest aussie love. Neoprene and sailing rope is all it takes to create the coolest bag I’ve seen so far. This fabric is fantastic, see – it is lightweight, easily recovers the shape, so I can fill it and fold it without worrying about losing its structure forever, and it is washable. The zip up pouch for small storage and the press studs to compress the size of the bag are two great extras, no? Don’t you already want this bag?
Another forte of State of Escape is the color palette. My basics – white, black, grey and khaki- are beautifully picked, but there are many other colorful options like fluor yellow or orange. By now, I own a blue tote (the one in the pictures) and a khaki small crossbody bag, but girl, it can’t stop there. I don’t think I will resist to the black tote, anytime soon… Already warned you, now here’s the way to paradise.
Did you know State of Escape before?
